Art Garfunkel has had an illustrious career. As a musician, he was originally revered for his award winning, chart-topping songs and albums with musical partner and fellow New York native Paul Simon. He won seven Grammys with Simon & Garfunkel. Their greatest hits collection, which includes “Mrs. Robinson,” “Scarborough Fair,” “The Sound Of Silence,” “The Boxer” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” among others, is one of the biggest selling albums of all time. They also taken home England’s prestigious Britannia Award for “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. In 1990, they were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Garfunkel also found success as a solo artist. Angel Clare spawned the top 10 hit “All I know”, and his most recent album, 2012’s The Singer, received critical acclaim. Rolling Stone magazine described it as “a revelation from start to finish.”

After Simon and Garfunkel parted ways in 1970, Garfunkel landed several major film roles, including Carnal Knowledge (opposite Jack Nicholson), which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe nomination. And the multi-talented Garfunkel explored another artistic endeavor in 1989 when he published the critically acclaimed Still Water, a collection of poetry.

The evening will include Garfunkel’s solo and Simon & Garfunkel hits, poetry, and reflections on his decades long career.
