Jeremy R. Jacobs, development executive at Mortenson, is a combat-tested veteran and business leader who is experienced leading organizations through aggressive periods of growth. He is skilled at diagnosing challenges, creating responsive strategies and leading through the execution phase.
Jacobs thrives in environments that combine the excitement of entrepreneurship with the rigors of problem solving. His role as a real estate developer with Mortenson provides such an environment.
He employs a people-first approach. Jacobs likes to lead by doing and believes in fostering an environment where accountability and the strife toward excellence is a communal value. He also believes in fostering a professional culture centered on fun and team-based learning.
Jacobs is the single point of contact for development opportunities originating out of Mortenson’s Minneapolis office — with a geography spanning from Minnesota to Iowa and the Dakotas. He is responsible for leading development projects from project feasibility analysis, site selection and acquisition, planning and financing through completion across a variety of markets and product types.
His hobbies include crosswords, coffee and outdoor recreation. As an avid sports fan, he enjoys basketball, Cubs baseball and NFL Sundays. Jacobs also has a deep appreciation for the stage, counting the Broadway adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables as one of his life’s most memorable experiences.
