Laura Murphy is proud to return to Hennepin Theatre Trust as associate director of marketing. She saw her first Broadway show, the national tour of A Chorus Line, in the mid-1970s. This was the beginning of her interest in show business, her undying respect for those who are dedicated to its success and her career path in the live performing arts industry.
Laura’s arts and entertainment journey spans nearly 20 years and includes tales of wrangling giant Muppets on tour, defending cavemen around the globe and running away with the circus (literally). As public relations manager for the Trust from 2000-2006, she garnered extensive local coverage for six Broadway seasons and many concerts and events, including coverage of the grand re-opening of the Pantages Theatre in 2002.
Since that time, she has worked in public relations and marketing for Theater Mogul, a New York-based theatrical producer; in publicity and marketing for the permanent Cirque du Soleil production at Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando; and in communications for Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, among other adventures.
