Mary Jane Mansfield joined Hennepin Theatre Trust in January of 2016 as the public art and placemaking coordinator. She is a multimedia artist with an eclectic style. Her work ranges from whimsical and lighthearted to sometimes serious reflections on family, life, love, desire and dreams. The flow of energy in life, whether physical or metaphysical, is a common thread.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She was a contributing artist for Made Here 2013 to 2014 and served as a lead installer for the team in 2015. She has been a recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship at Franconia Sculpture Park, MN State Arts Board’s Artist Initiative grant, Metropolitan Regional Arts Council’s Next Step Fund and Forecast Public Art’s Making it Public grant with funding from the Lowertown Future Fund and the City of Saint Paul Cultural STAR.
