Pete Tedrow joined Hennepin Theatre Trust in 2016. In his role, he connects with community partners across the area, bringing diverse audiences to downtown Minneapolis to engage with the Trust’s many educational programs.
As a lifetime Minnesotan, he spent nearly 20 years an educator. An aspiring screenwriter himself, Pete’s held positions with numerous film arts nonprofits, including The Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and The Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul. He has also worked as a freelance copywriter and researcher, and as impact producer on The Starfish Throwers, an award-winning Minnesota-made documentary.
Pete holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Fine Arts in writing. He enjoys watching independent film and thought-provoking documentaries. His late father was an educator and musician who instilled Pete with a love of music — watching yearly television broadcasts of The Music Man (and wearing out the vinyl cast recording) were a tradition for him growing up. Pete enjoys visits to Broadway in New York City, where life changing experiences like Fun Home and Jersey Boys have furthered his passion for live theatre.
