Scenic Art and Painting Workshop

Spotlight is headed to Duluth this November for a very special technical theater student opportunity! Join professional scenic artist Angelique Powers for a scenic art and painting workshop at Duluth East High School! We’ll learn about the career and work of scenic artistry and get hands-on with the fundamental painting techniques that the pros use when designing scenery for theater.

Angelique Powers is a professional scenic artist, painter, designer, and educator with over 20 years of experience. She’s worked with Minnesota theaters including The Ordway, Penumbra, Latté Da, Park Square, Artistry, and more. She is a founding board member of the Guild of Scenic Artists and the Resident Scenic Charge Artist and Affiliate Faculty at University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
