Spotlight Orchestra Audition Workshop

Calling all Minnesota high school musicians! Want to be a part of the Minnesota high school theater’s biggest celebration? Join Broadway trumpet player Elaine Burt (Hair, White Christmas) to go over best practices and tips for auditioning for the 2023 Spotlight Orchestra! Plus, bring your instrument and get hands-on experience with the audition material! All instrumentalists (grades 9-12), music directors, and band directors are invited.

Artist bio:

Elaine Burt has played the trumpet on Broadway, in national television programs, studio recording sessions, and on tour, most notably with Paul Anka. She’s shared the stage with Bernadette Peters, Reba McEntire and Idina Menzel and held chairs on Broadway shows like Hair and White Christmas.
