Student Conversation: Health, Safety and Wellbeing

What does safety look like in your theater? What would you like it to look like? In this community conversation with teaching artists Brianna Graham and Andre Shoals, we’ll discuss safety, health, and wellbeing for students. We’ll talk about the current state of the pandemic, setting boundaries, and healthy ways to deal with the difficult situations that can arise in the theater.

BRI GRAHAM is an artist, director, performer and creator currently located in the Twin Cities area. She is the cofounder and cohost of the Mixed Messages Podcast. Bri has over 10 years of experience preforming both on stage and on camera, as well as experience producing and directing. She also has experience serving as a student mentor. Bri also serves on the board of the Minnesota Theatre Alliance. www.brigraham.com

ANDRE SHOALS is an actor, director, mentor and educator in the Twin Cities. He is the Director of Community Outreach for New Dawn Theatre and a member of the Artist Cohort at Hennepin Theatre Trust as well as an evaluator for the Triple Threat program. Mr. Shoals has worked with Theater Latte Da, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Guthrie, PRIME Productions, and Park Square Theater. He is also a co-founder of the Boston fringe theater company The Gold Dust Orphans.
