Hennepin Theatre Trust is committed to creating access to spaces and opportunities that showcase youth perspectives. We encourage the development of artistic confidence, critical thinking, empathy and a sense of community through the arts.

This exhibition features artwork created and curated by the following youth groups:

Northside Through The People’s Eyes
Minnesota African American Heritage Museum and Gallery
These 20 photos from 10 youth curators show the positive aspects of the Northside to dispel the myths and negative images that the Northside is all crime and not community.

Wicahpi Kawita (gathering of stars)
Pine Ridge Reservation
In Lakota language there is no word for art, because it is believed to be an act of making life beautiful. These paintings represent stories of resilience, inspiration, motivation, and healing.
