Please note: Hennepin Theatre Trust urges you to buy only from official ticketing sources.
At this time, Hamilton tickets are not available for purchase and will not go on sale to the general public until fall 2022. While it’s tempting to get tickets any way you can, there are many sites and people who are selling overpriced, and in some cases, fraudulent tickets. We encourage you to avoid these and we urge you to buy only from official ticketing sources. If you buy from a ticket reseller, we cannot guarantee the legitimacy of your ticket, and you risk being denied admission, refunds and/or exchanges, and updates in real time should there be any changes to the status of the show.

Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticketing agent – in addition to our theatre box offices.
For the best seats, the best prices, and to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tickets, all purchases for the Minneapolis engagement should be made through Ticketmaster (which can be accessed via or the State Theatre Box Office at the appropriate time. When will Hamilton return to Minneapolis and when will tickets be available?

Hamilton has been rescheduled to April 4 – May 7, 2023 in Minneapolis. Tickets are currently available only to donors, subscribers, and groups. Subscribers call: 800.859.7469 (M-F, 9am-5pm) or become a subscriber. Donors call: 612.455.9536. Join our email list to learn when tickets are available to the general public in fall 2022.

Will group tickets be available for Hamilton in Minneapolis?

Yes, group tickets are available now to groups of 10 or more. Make a group ticket request.

How long is the show?

The performance runs 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 20 minute intermission. Strobe lights, fog, haze, gun shots and cannon booms are used in this production.

Is there an age requirement?

Hamilton is appropriate for children ages 10 and up, however everyone does need a ticket. Please note the performance runs 2 hours and 45 minutes and does contain some strong language and non-graphic adult situations. Strobe lights, fog, haze, gun shots and cannon booms are used in this production.

Where does the balcony overhang the main floor?

The balcony overhangs between rows G – J. See the Orpheum Theatre seating chart for a view from your seat.

Can I get on a waitlist when tickets become available?

We do not offer a waitlist for Hamilton. If you would like to be notified when tickets go on sale to the public, we encourage you to join our email list.

Is it better to sit on the main floor or the balcony?

This is a question of personal preference. The main floor will give you a front-on view of the stage; the balcony will give you an overview of the stage. If anyone in your party has a fear of heights, main floor seating will be a better option.

Are charitable ticket donation requests available for Hamilton?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate ticket donation requests for Hamilton.

What is Hamilton about?

Hamilton is the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.

Will Lin-Manuel Miranda be in the show?

No. The Minneapolis production of Hamilton is part of the national tour and features the nationally touring cast. Casting for the tour reflects the same talent, attention to detail and high quality as the Broadway production.
