Volunteers are integral to Hennepin Theatre Trust, sharing their time and expertise in a variety of settings.

Volunteer Orientation

All potential volunteers are required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation. Prior to the orientation please download a copy of the Hennepin Theatre Trust Volunteer Manual, read through it and bring the manual and any questions you have to orientation. New Volunteer Orientations are held four times a year at the New Century Theatre.

If you have questions please email: volunteer@hennepintheatretrust.org

Volunteer Opportunities:

Administrative Volunteers:

Administrative volunteers meet as needed at Hennepin Theatre Trust’s downtown Minneapolis office and assist with projects such as organizing material, preparing mailings and archiving show posters.

Event Volunteers:

Event Volunteers assist Trust staff at events with check-in, coat check, greeting and directing guests as they arrive, and any other support needed to ensure a successful event.

In-Theatre Volunteers:

In-Theatre Volunteers assist by welcoming and directing patrons in our theatres. We have three different levels of volunteers for the In-Theatre Volunteer program. New Volunteers will primarily assist patrons at the New Century Theatre and Volunteer Ambassadors and Ambassador Captains assist patrons at our three Historic Theatres.

Education and Community Outreach Volunteers:

Education and Community Outreach Volunteers assist participants and patrons at any of our education and community events as well as cultural district events. Duties may include assisting with student registration at various workshops for Spotlight, directing families during Family Day Activities or assisting guests at events for Made Here and in WeDo.
