Avenues: Made Here Launch at 5 to 10 on Hennepin

5 to 10 on Hennepin will activate the surface parking lot at 500 Hennepin with a monthly outdoor live music series that is family-friendly. These events will also feature:

• Chess and other free games for youth and adults
• A community and human resource fair
• Street performers along Hennepin Avenue in partnership with MDID
• Public tours of Made Here, our initiative activating vacant storefronts with Minnesota-based artists
• Free refreshments and an ADA public restroom

Hennepin Theatre Trust is invigorating the city’s urban canvas for everyone to enjoy with Made Here. This award-winning project transforms underused and unique spaces — between Hennepin Avenue’s 5th and 10th streets — with art created by Minnesota artists.

Since it launched in 2013, Made Here has produced more than 360 window displays in downtown’s commercial spaces – making it the largest initiative of its kind in the country.

Check out our newest installation and celebrated tenth round, Avenues, featuring the works of local community organizations and select alumni artists from past Made Here runs. Their works bring to life the theme “avenues” — a way of approaching a problem or making progress toward something — through large-scale photo banners and vibrant window displays.
