District events
Hennepin Theatre Trust is dedicated to transforming the places and spaces in the Hennepin Theatre District to be more welcoming, vibrant and inclusive. Our free programming, created with key partners, helps to increase public safety and benefits youth and adults experiencing homelessness in the District. One example of our programs bringing the community together in downtown is 5 to 10 on Hennepin.
5 to 10 on Hennepin
The 5 to 10 on Hennepin summertime event series features music, dancing, art, food, games and family-friendly activities. The Trust launched the series in 2016 with support from partners including the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District, The Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Center, MAD DADs Minneapolis, Kulture Klub Collaborative and more. Youth from Kulture Klub lead planning. Social services agencies connect guests with housing, health checks, free food and other basic needs.
