District events
Hennepin Theatre Trust is dedicated to transforming the places and spaces in the Hennepin Theatre District to be more welcoming, vibrant and inclusive. Our free programming, created with key partners, helps to increase public safety and benefits youth and adults experiencing homelessness in the District. One example of our programs bringing the community together in downtown is 5 to 10 on Hennepin.
5 to 10 on Hennepin
The 5 to 10 on Hennepin summertime event series features music, dancing, art, food, games and family-friendly activities. The Trust launched the series in 2016, and over the years we have partnered with many organizations and sponsors to grow this event into a summertime favorite. This year the events will be planned and organized by youth from Kulture Klub Collaborative. Social services agencies will also connect guests with housing, health checks, free food and other basic needs. Our partners this year include Kulture Klub Collaborative, Street works, A Mother’s Love Initiative, and the Minneapolis Downtown Improvement District.
