Hennepin Avenue construction updates

Hennepin Avenue is undergoing a major improvement project that will impact traffic. Please plan to leave home early and expect delays due to change in traffic flows. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Hennepin Avenue will be closed between 1st Ave. and Washington Street with 3rd Street reduced to one lane in each direction.
  • No left turns or stopping will be permitted; please plan to be dropped off or picked up along a side street.
  • All sidewalks will remain intact and open during this phase of the project.
  • Construction is scheduled to occur during normal business hours and will not affect entrance to our theatres or our event center, The Hennepin.

Check HennepinDowntown.com for details and latest information about the reconstruction project and visit Minneapolis Traffic Services for information on major street closures in the Twin Cities metro area.
