Harbor Light Mural | Completed in 2017
Strong partnerships are an important part of our work at Hennepin Theatre Trust. We teamed up with The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center and local artists Bianca Pettis and Erin Sayer. The artists lead a participatory process with shelter residents. Residents generated key words that they wished to see and express through this work. The words were incorporated into the mural’s designs and influenced the nod to Bob Dylan with lyrics that say, “Come in she said I’ll give you shelter from the storm.”
The mural was created as a part of 5 to 10 on Hennepin, our live concert series that brings community together through performance arts activities, community meals, and public art.
