Why should I support Hennepin Theatre Trust?

Your support helps us advance our vision of driving cultural and economic vitality in Minnesota through leadership of the dynamic Hennepin Theatre District in downtown Minneapolis and educational programming that reaches every area of the state. Whether it’s a family attending a Broadway show for the first time at a historic theatre, to a local artist transforming a vacant storefront into an urban art installation — we exist to make the arts a part of your everyday life.

What is the “Advance Access” donor benefit?

Advance Access allows you to purchase tickets to select performances in our three historic theatres – the Orpheum, State and Pantages  – before the general public. Please note that best available seating is not guaranteed, and ticket limits will apply.

Does Advance Access apply to all shows?

No. Qualifying shows are non-Broadway and presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust. Our Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin  season is not included.

How much do I need to donate to receive Advance Access to Trust presented shows?

If you donate $95 or above annually, you will receive the advance access benefit.

How will I know which shows qualify for Advance Access?

Watch your inbox! We’ll email you with any applicable offers, including instructions on how to take advantage.

Are there ticket limits on Advance Access tickets?

Yes, the limits will vary by show. The email notification will contain ticket limit information.

When can I request tickets for the 2018-2019 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin Season?

The 2018-2019 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season will be announced Monday, February 12 — donors will receive an email directly following the announcement at 1:45 p.m. where they can request tickets through March 12.

How do you fulfill donor requests?

Donor tickets are filled starting at the Guarantor level, followed by Financier, and so on. Within each donor level, tickets are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, as the donor ticketing form is time-stamped.

As a donor, are my tickets guaranteed?

There are a finite number of tickets for every Broadway show — season subscribers are guaranteed their seats and a certain percentage is held for groups, donors and the public on-sale. As interest in subscriptions, donors and groups increase, ticket availability decreases for all.

How do I ensure access to tickets for the shows I want to see?

How do ticket limits work?

Ticket limits allow us the chance to accommodate our donor base with the best available seating.

When I request tickets, am I making a purchase?

No, you are only making a request. We will inform you if your tickets are confirmed after May 15.
