Discover Theatre History – Educational Tours Available!

Our bi-monthly public tours and our non-educational private tours are now on hiatus. Please refer back to this page for future updates! We will continue to provide tours for educational/school groups upon request — see below for more information.

Engage your students with Minnesota history! Take a walking tour of Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Orpheum, State or Pantages Theatre. Experienced guides highlight architecture, historical facts, and stories about these venues that once anchored the region’s “Theatre Row.” Access theatre interiors and discover fascinating historical perspectives that students cannot experience when attending a production. Each tour lasts approximately one hour.

Educational group tours are available by request between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. any day of the week, depending on availability. Our group discount rate begins at 40+ people. Tours are only open to those ages 8 and up.

Want more from your educational tour experience?

  • Show Tickets — Pair your tour with group tickets to one of our shows! Click here for more information about group tickets to performances.
  • Arts Activity — Activate your students’ creativity by pairing your tour with a musical theatre activity (acting, dance, or music) or a hands-on visual art experience tailored for your classes, pending availability. An additional fee would apply.
