Preparing for your show? If you are using mobile tickets, please follow these steps prior to your arrival for quick and frustration-free entry to the theatre:

  1. Log into Account Manager.
  2. Select upcoming event to reveal your tickets.
  3. If you have guests arriving separately, now is a great time to transfer tickets to them (they will need to create an account in order to accept the tickets).
  4. Then, follow instructions provided to add tickets to your phone.
  5. Be sure to charge your mobile device the day of the show.

 Doing this in advance means you won’t need internet connection at the theatre.

How do I access my mobile tickets for a show?

When will we be able to request extra tickets to shows?

Subscribers may order additional tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Simply log into your online account to purchase additional tickets for family and friends. For the 2020-2021 season, subscribers will be notified via email in advance of when they can purchase additional tickets.. Please make sure your email address is up to date.

Can I change or upgrade my seats for this season?

Subscription seat upgrades are no longer available for the 2019-2020 season. For the 2020-2021 season, subscribers will be notified via email before upgrades are available. Please make sure your email address is up to date.

Can I change my tickets for a show to another date?

As a season subscriber, you may exchange your tickets for another performance of the same production.

Exchanges may be made for free online (see below) or in person at the State Theatre Box Office, and by calling the Season Subscriber Hotline at 1.800.859.SHOW (7469) (fees apply). You must have your tickets in hand for exchanges by phone. All ticket exchanges must be processed at least 24 hours prior to the performance you are originally scheduled to attend. If your show is on a weekend, please complete your exchanges by 5 p.m. on the Friday prior to your performance.

Please note: Ticket exchanges for Disney’s Frozen and The Phantom of the Opera must be completed no later than 72 hours prior to your originally scheduled performance.

For the 2020-2021 season, the ticket exchange policy per show will be released at a later date.

Who do I call if I lose my tickets?

If you lose your tickets, please call the box office or season subscriber hotline immediately. For security, lost tickets will only be reprinted the day of the show. Season subscribers can pick up their tickets at the will-call window one hour prior to the performance (please present photo ID). 

Will the show be canceled due to weather?

All performances will go on as scheduled. If you miss a performance due to inclement weather, please contact the box office (612.339.7007) or the season subscriber hotline (800.859.7469) for possible reseating options within the same production. All reseating is subject to availability. Missed performances cannot be refunded or exchanged. Some performances may not offer reseating options.

What are my options if I am unable to attend a performance?

Unable to attend a performance? Donate your tickets to Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Spotlight Community Tickets program, which provides complimentary tickets to area high school students and their families, with a special focus on communities that are traditionally underrepresented in our spaces. To donate your tickets, simply call 612.455.9536 by 5 p.m. on the day of your performance or by 5 p.m. Friday, if your performance is on a weekend.

*Comparable seating locations are not guaranteed. When exchanging into a higher-priced seat/performance, the price difference must be collected when processing the exchange. Refunds for the difference, if you exchange into a lesser-priced seat/performance, will be processed within 7-10 business days following the exchange. Due to the popularity of some shows, ticket exchanges may not be available, or only for a limited window of time. Missed performances cannot be refunded.

**Pricing for additional ticket purchases includes a $10 per ticket service fee and a $5 per ticket historic restoration fee. Each account may purchase up to four (4) additional tickets for shows within the season package and up to eight (8) for season options, while supplies last. Any tickets purchased over the limit will be canceled without notice. Due to demand for the season, availability of seats is limited. Seating locations for additional tickets are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change without notice.
